Privacy Policy for GlowPal: Glow Up Pet
Last Updated: July 19, 2026
Introduction
GlowPal: Glow Up Pet (“the App,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is developed and operated by Alimzhan Zhumabaiuly, an individual based in Ontario, Canada. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the App, which is currently available on iOS.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes what information is collected, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide During Onboarding
When you first set up the App, we ask you to provide:
- Name — used solely to personalize your in-app experience (e.g., greetings and personalized content). Your name is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to us or any third party.
- Gender — used only for anonymized analytics purposes, as described below.
- Age — used only for anonymized analytics purposes, as described below.
Locally Stored Data
All app data you generate through normal use of GlowPal (such as your pet’s progress, settings, and preferences) is stored locally on your device. We do not operate servers that store this data, and we do not have access to it.
Analytics Data
We use PostHog, a third-party analytics service, to help us understand how the App is used and to improve its features and performance. Analytics data may include:
- Gender and age (as provided during onboarding)
- App usage patterns, such as screens viewed, features used, and session length
- General device and technical information (such as device type and operating system version)
This data is used in an aggregated and/or anonymized form and is not used to identify you personally. PostHog processes this data on our behalf. You can learn more about PostHog’s own data practices at [posthog.com/privacy](https://posthog.com/privacy).
Subscription and Payment Information
If you purchase a subscription within the App, payment processing is handled by RevenueCat, a third-party subscription management platform. RevenueCat may collect transaction-related information (such as purchase history and subscription status) to manage your subscription. We do not directly collect or store your payment card information — this is handled by Apple’s App Store and RevenueCat. For more information, see RevenueCat’s privacy policy at [revenuecat.com/privacy](https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy).
Push Notifications
The App uses push notifications to send you reminders and updates. You can enable or disable push notifications at any time through your device’s iOS Settings.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above to:
- Personalize your experience within the App (using your name)
- Understand how users interact with the App so we can improve it (using anonymized analytics)
- Process and manage subscriptions (via RevenueCat)
- Send you push notifications, if enabled
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Data Storage and Security
The majority of your data (including your name and in-app progress) is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers, since the App does not use an account or login system. Analytics data sent to PostHog and subscription data processed by RevenueCat are handled according to those providers’ respective security and privacy practices.
Because most data stays on your device, if you delete the App, that locally stored data will be deleted as well.
Children’s Privacy
GlowPal: Glow Up Pet is not directed at or intended for use by children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the information below so we can address it.
Your Rights and Choices
Since most of your data is stored locally on your device, you have direct control over it:
- You can delete your locally stored data at any time by uninstalling the App.
- You can disable push notifications through your device’s iOS Settings.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple ID account settings.
If you have questions about the analytics or subscription data processed by PostHog or RevenueCat, you may also contact those providers directly, or reach out to us and we will do our best to assist you.
Third-Party Services
The App relies on the following third-party services, each of which has its own privacy policy governing their handling of data:
- PostHog (analytics) — [posthog.com/privacy](https://posthog.com/privacy)
- RevenueCat (subscription management) — [revenuecat.com/privacy](https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy)
- Apple App Store (app distribution and payment processing)
International Users
The App is developed in Ontario, Canada, and this policy is intended to comply with applicable Canadian privacy laws, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). If you are using the App from outside Canada, please be aware that your information may be processed by third-party services (such as PostHog and RevenueCat) that may operate servers in other countries.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App or applicable law. Any changes will be posted here with an updated “Last Updated” date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
